Tulum is a small city which that consists of 2 main roads. Avenida Tulum, which takes you through the pueblo, and Ctra Tulum- Boca Paila, which takes you straight to the beach. The city is super easy to get around. You could take a taxi everywhere, but that might get pretty expensive. So, I’d suggest doing what we did and renting bikes. Some hostels or hotels provide bikes, but if not you can rent one for just 80 pesos a day. Don’t worry, 80 pesos is equivalent to only $8!
It was so much fun getting to explore the little town. We would ride from the beach to the Pueblo everyday, and there was always something to see! Just one of the benefits of riding my bike everywhere, was getting to learn my way around. By the end of my stay, I hardly felt like a tourist.
Check out my first look of the trip. I was able to comfortably ride my bike during the day, to hanging out at the local bar without having to change a thing.
